(EDC = everyday carry). Does anyone else have a EDC on them during the day? Right now I'm carrying the one on the left, a Buck Vantage. The one on the right is a really large Schrade, which I really like but it's too big for EDC use.
I usually carry either the Buck Vantage, a Case Russlock, or a Rough Rider Swing guard.
So what kind of knives do you guys normally carry?

When I do carry a knife, I carry my Smith & Wesson Homeland Security.
Great knife, has treated me well. (edit: turns out they don't make it anymore, which makes me sad)

Gerber Quick draw. Single hand operation is a must for my pocket knife. And I never carry any that make you put your finger in the way of the blade to close it. I hate that style of locking mech. The little trigger on the side releases the blade on this model.

Slim profile, assisted open, single handed operation. I wouldn't want to carry anything bigger. The edges are all smoothed out so it's not likely to catch anything on the dress pants I wear. Holds an edge well. Nicely weighted. It was this or the Leek ( http://kershaw.kaiusaltd.com/knives/knife/l… ). I have yet to be disappointed by going with the Shallot.

I carry the Buck Vantage Pro (it's essentially the same knife as yours, but different materials used for the blade and handle). I don't carry it every day, but it is my main blade. I love it, it's very sturdy, but not too heavy and it opens easily with one hand, either by flipping it out or using my thumb.

I carry a really old Spyderco Endura. Brand new it cost well over $100, but I snagged it at a gun show for $35 and a firm handshake.
Been carrying it daily for about 6 years and it's by far my favorite knife that I own.

I have an Opinel no. 7 and a Kershaw Clash. Very different knives, but I switch between them when I carry a knife. The Opinel is usually picked, because one hand operation isn't quite necessary and it's a bit lighter and classier.

i have an old unknown buck with the release in the butt of the handle but it has no pocket clip so I never carry it and would have a hard time even finding it. Long story short I keep my blade sharp as can be so putting my finger in the blades path just never sat well with me. Also I have a tendency to lose them and get them confiscated by security as I wear it 365 never dawns on me to take it off till its to late so I just bulk bought a bunch of the quick draws. Gerber has a good lifetime warranty policy and never questions me if I have to ask for a new belt clip or the blade defects in any way. Been carrying that model for almost 10 years.

Allow me to introduce Tatiana. (Marine tradition to name your weapons) Although Tatiana's primary enemy who she has engaged with and defeated on many battles and operations has been the ever pesky, difficult and seasoned MRE. They be a wild bunch with the ability to boost your morale with a lemon poppy seed pound cake, or crush your soul in defeat with a veggie burger. Nonetheless, she never leaves my side, and God-willing I will never leave hers.

Yeah, but what I learned from my wife (the knife guru of the family), how good the steel is, the type of steel, the quality of the build, and the company that made it can change the price.
She mainly likes quality knifes. I convinced her to buy a Gerber one time (this was when their quality wasn't good), a couple years later then knife literally disassembled in my hand. Granted, I was using it as a pry bar, it still came as a shock.

awesome. I've had mine for 3 years now. It comes super sharp and holds an edge very well, it opens smoothly and the locking mechanism works well.
The only bad thing I can say about it is that the paint on the clip will scratch, a sharpie fixes that if you care ( I don't).
